Now that I got that off my chest – the whole ‘click here’ – like what – as opposed to clicking somewhere else or click your heels three times and say “I want to go home”. I offer this suggestion: if you get CLICK HERE then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
While some of you might be thinking I’m off my meds or something with this snarky rant, allow me to clarify. I consider myself a marketing professional. When I see others imitating that role I get annoyed – especially when it winds up in my email inbox or on my news streams – today I was buried in these thoughtless pitches as a pre-holiday push and it just hit me so hard I couldn’t hold this post back. No meds required.
