Overview of the Awards Program
This year, the competition for The 2010 NAUMD Image of the Year Awards, recognizing outstanding design in image apparel, will be greater than ever! The 2010 program has been again updated with an even broader range of professional industry and media judges, a streamlined judging process and a stronger emphasis on true excellence and achievement in meeting the corporate goals of image apparel.

This year, both Winners and all Nominee Finalists’ programs will be shown and honored during Saturday March 6, 2010 during the NAUMD 2010 Preparing for a Better Tomorrow” Convention & Exposition, Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV. The event will include “Gary Lewis & The Playboys Concert" featuring host: Gary Lewis whose hits This Diamond Ring, Everybody Loves a Clown and Save Your heart for Me will make this one of the most exciting NAUMD IOY Awards events ever! Submissions can be made either by mail or online through January 15, 2010.

Why Should You Participate?
The NAUMD 2010 Image of the Year Awards will recognize outstanding design in the field of corporate uniforms and image apparel. Should you win a Nomination, your company's participation can open doors to potential new markets, can serve as an excellent marketing tool for potential clients and present your company as a mover and shaker in the industry. Recognition as a Nominee in the IOY Awards Program, also provides national, regional and local media exposure. All winners and nominees will be included in national press releases to the media.

Top Designs to be Honored at The IOY Awards Banquet
The top four nominees in all categories will be honored at the Gala Awards Banquet to be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 during the NAUMD 2010 “Preparing for a Better Tomorrow” Convention & Exposition, Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV.

Who Are the 2010 IOY Judges?
The judging panel will include a cross-section of the fashion industry's most celebrated designers, journalists and fashion authorities:

Eligibility for Submission:
All members of NAUMD in good standing are eligible to participate in the 2010 NAUMD Image of the Year Awards program. Only members may submit a program for consideration in coordination with their End-User Clients.

NOTE: All programs submitted, MUST be on-line “in use” programs currently worn by client’s employees.

What are the Categories for Entry Submissions?
Entries will be accepted in the following categories:

Requirements
1. All submissions MUST be accompanied by electronic images of your program which include: All outfits you wish to have judged, pictures of the outfits in their actual usage situation. You may submit images in any of three formats: GIF, or JPEG or TIF either electronically or on CD-ROM. CD-ROM must be clearly marked with your company and your client’s name. Entries must include one photograph of the complete uniform wardrobe program. At least one close-up shot is highly recommended. Submissions without appropriate materials will be disqualified.
2. Only uniform programs worn within the United States are eligible to enter.
3. The North-American Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD) must receive all entries no later than January 15, 2010, and must be accompanied with electronic photos. Entries will be judged and the winners notified by email.
4. The NAUMD retains the right to use all photographs in publicity and future promotion materials.

Number of Nominees Per Category
The judges will select four nominees in each category - with one of the four being the ultimate winner. Each of the Nominees and their Member Sponsors will be announced at the NAUMD Annual Convention at Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV.

How to Enter
For the first time, the 2010 NAUMD Image of the Year Awards will be conducted entirely on-line. We believe that this will greatly simplify the procedure for both entrants and judges - and will enable you to post your submissions during the submission period. To enter:

1. Click on the Image of the Year Awards link here.
2. To register for Image of the Year Awards:
- Complete the registration form.
- An Email message will automatically be sent to you confirming your participation.
- You may use the log in and password created during registration at any time to add more entries, photographs, etc.
3. Check the category you wish to enter click on the 'Submit' button.
4. On the new page, click the 'Browse' button to find the images you wish to submit on your computer.
5. Add a title to your new entry, below that add a brief description of your entry and press the 'Submit' button.
6. You may continue to add, and view entries until the awards submission deadline of January 15, 2010.
7. Once a submission has been entered, you may not edit or delete the submission.
8. If you are submitting more than one outfit for an imagewear program, please record each outfit as a separate entry in
consecutive order, indicating the name of the end user company and program in the description for each.

Deadline for Submissions
The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2010. You may continue to access your image postings - and add to them -- by logging onto our web page at any time prior to January 15, 2010.
